Located in the Department of Art and Artwork History, the Visible Arts Middle (VAC) supplies pivotal exhibition and research house, and serves as a creative hub in the university’s active arts group. The visual arts world is experiencing fast growth in digital imaging processes both for print manufacturing and the Web. The principal galleries for big-scale exhibitions are Yates Gallery and Exhibit Hall, the Chicago Rooms on the second floor, and the Michigan Avenue Galleries on the first ground.
The Nationwide Endowment for the Arts is committed to supporting visible arts exercise—portray, sculpture, images, printmaking, drawing, craft, and public art—that demonstrates exceptional aesthetic investigation and meaningful community engagement.

Visual Arts, as outlined by the Nationwide Art Education Association, embody the standard fine arts similar to drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and sculpture; media arts including movie, graphic communications, animation, and rising technologies; architectural, environmental, and industrial arts corresponding to urban, inside, product, and landscape design; folks arts; and artworks reminiscent of ceramics, fibers, jewellery, works in wood, paper, and other materials.
Different alternatives include membership in the Artwork Club and internships within the Visible Arts program. The Heart for the Visual Arts is a 501(c)three not-for-profit visible arts organization working to have interaction individuals in the visual arts and add to the livability of the Wausau regional community.
